Opened in 1996, Legoland Windsor is a theme park located on the site of Windsor safari park and has many thrills for the whole family to enjoy. Although all ages are welcomed, children aged betweeen 2 and 13 are probabaly best suited for this theme park, although there is much to do for the older children as well. Legoland is not any ordinary theme park. Over 40 million Lego Bricks have been used in the creation of miniland, a scaled down version of some of the most famous sites around. Famed Attractions such as Buckingham Palace and Wembley stadium are featured, along with buildings from Scotland, Sweden, Italy and Holland.

As well as MiniLand, Legoland has many other activities including rides and a creation centre, where the talent of the model-makers is shown as their best work is showcased. below are just a few of the things on offer:
Boating School- Would be skippers can take the wheel of a battery powered boat and steer a careful course around waterways avoiding various obstacles
Balloon School- Experience the ups and downs of a hot air balloon ride. Seated in a LEGO® themed gondola, guests pull on the "gas valve" cable to increase altitude, whilst the ride rotates at a constant speed.
Enchanted Forest- As you stroll through this peaceful "nature reserve," see and hear the woodland creatures in their habitat. A popular picnic spot for many
Pirate Goldwash- Pan for gold at the Pirate Goldwash in the Wild Woods. Trade in your treasure for a golden pirate medallion. Be the envy of your friends by showing your bravery with a visit to the temporary tattooist.
Driving School- A single pedal operates smaller cars and the oval course is a lot simpler. To celebrate their achievement, all future drivers are awarded the LEGOLAND driving licence

What would a theme Park be without a proper rollercoaster to test your nerves? Legoland Windsor also has an array of rides catering for different ages, but still providing lots of fun! These rides may appeal to the older children with height restrictions on many of them.
Dragon's Apprentice: Take a walk in the Amazing Mazes the three inter-connected mazes, each with its own theme (Tudor, Celtic and Nautical). Be amazed as the curtain of water parts, but hurry before it closes again!
The Dragon Coaster- This is a thrilling journey of twists and turns, as you travel through the heights and depths of the Castle, past animated LEGO models including a giant red dragon before exiting the building and flying through the treetops.
Pirate Falls- Guests may be deceived into thinking this is another leisurely boat ride, but the animated pirates and creatures warn of impending danger. Passing through the graveyard, the boats start a steep ascent. There's only one way down - with a big splash!

There are also a number of shows on offer with amazing expereinces to be had, especially from the new 4D Spellbreaker where you join the adventures of Blacksmith and his quest to rescue his princess! There is so much to see and do here at Legoland with a wealth of attractions not mentioned here. This really is the perfect treat for any 2-13 year old on a weekend or school break, with entertainment to fill your day, or even 2 days.
Hotels
Eating Facilities- With Leogland covering over 150 acres of land, you may want some food to energise you for the day ahead. There are numerous cafes, restaurants and stalls catering for your every needs. Hotdogs, burgers, sandwiches, salads, ice-cream - you name it, it's here!
