IndiKart

Indikart Racing Club, an indoor arena located in Clochetser, Essex, is a great alternative if you want to try your hand at something completely different. Boasting a track of 250 metres long, there is a comprehensive range of packages available, to suit your every needs. You will find that all competitive races that IndiKart offer are for over 16 year olds only, so much of what is on offer will only apply to older teens, but there is still plenty to do for under 16 year olds! Arrive 'n' drive is for anyone aged 8 and upwards with specific times being designated for younger children as detailed below.

Full Grand Prix - the full grand prix offers you the chance to experience 8 heats, whereby you start each heat in a different starting position. At the end of the heats, the drivers then proceed to a semi-final and then a final. A trophy is awarded to the drivers who come 1st, 2nd and 3rd. A minimum of 12 drivers is required.

Mini Grand Prix - Of a similar format to the Full Grand Prix, the Mini Grand Prix is made up of 6 heats, a semi-final and a final. A presentation ceremony at the end of the competition takes place, with awards for the 1st, 2nd and 3rd placed drivers. A minimum of 10 drivers is required.

Endurance Race - A minimum of 5 teams compete in a Le Mans style race that can last anything up to 6 hours. The official time of the race is arranged when the event is booked - but this is designed to test your racing limits!

Clubmans Cup - Similar to the Grand Prix races, the Clubman cup consists of 4 heats, a semi-final and grand final with the winners, 2nd placed driver, and 3rd placed drivers receiving trophies. A minimum of 8 drivers required.

All drivers wishing to participate in any of the above races must be 16 yrs or older. Indikart warmly welcomes drivers under the age of 16 as well with a chance to try your hand at karting during 'Kids Kart'.

Kids Indikart runs the hugely popular cadet School on alternate Saturdays, for 6 months of the year. From 9:30am - 12:00pm, anyone over the age of 8, will get the chance to learn about the many aspects of being a karting driver. Braking, Overtaking, race strategy and racing lines, are all taught with the chance to then proceed to the ultimate in indoor racing!

Once the cadets have passed their cadetship, they will be asked to join the indikart kids Championship, which is held on the alternate Saturday's to the cadet school.
