Covering a 70 acre site and offering a wide range of activities including Canoeing, Skiing, Snowboarding, Archery, Climbing, Orienteering, Kayaking, bridgering and many many more, Ackers is a perfect family day out with many activities for the kids to enjoy!  

Ackers is very family orientated and has many activities aimed at keeping the kids entertained and providing a fun and exciting time! Some of the activities are explained below. The Ackers offers after-school activities on Mondays, Tuesdays and Wednesdays where any child aged between 8-16yrs old is welcome to come along and experience the top quality facilities. On Mondays from 4pm - 5:30pm, there are archery lessons open for all the budding Robin Hood's for only £6pp. On Tuesdays from 6pm - 7:30pm, children aged 8-16yrs can come and face the heights of the climbing wall for just £6pp. On Wednesday, children can come and enjoy the exciting sport of canoeing from 6pm - 7:30pm for just £6pp. To book your place now, simply call 0121 772 5111.

Climbing - Catering for both experienced and novice climbers, the Ackers has two floodlit walls, The Crag and the South Face. With over 34 different routes to explore, all levels of expereince are catered fro to ensure a challenging and enjoyable time.

Skiing- Every Thursday, the after-school activities continue. From 6pm - 7:30pm, coaching is offered to all 8-16yr olds interested in enhancing their skill and meeting new friends. Highly professional coaches coupled with top quality facilities give kids a friendly and safe environment to enjoy learning a popular and exciting sport for just £6pp, per session.

Various other ski courses are available including the Pingu School for 4-7yr olds, and a great family deal of an hours lesson for 2 adults and 2 children all for just £80. The Ackers do ask that you pre-book any activity on 0121 772 5111. The Ackers offers private tuition for any of its activities for people of all ages. All activities are suitable for the disabled and children with special needs so everyone is catered for so if you want lessons in canoeing, skiing, abseiling, orienteering, archery and many more activities, just contact the Ackers team who will be more than happy to help. Ackers is located near Small Heath train station and a trading estate next to an area of fenced park land on the left hand side. The entrance to The Ackers is towards the end of the park land. Enter the site and follow the road and signs for approx. 1/2 mile to the ski lodge. Use the Google Map to help you plan your journey. The nearest motorways are the M6 and M42.
