Norfolk Ski Club
Norfolk Ski is a popular ski club, offering children from as young as 4, the chance to learn and enhance their skills in either skiing or snowboarding. A great adventure for the whole family and even if you are a novice to the sport, you can still have great fun in the very enjoyable lessons, where experienced and friendly staff help you through the baiscs, before letting you loose on the slopes!!
Every Saturday mornings, children aged between 5-16yrs can activities that are designed to improve skill, agility, technique and be above all fun!! Races are then organised once children are deemed to be experienced enough and not only do they measure progression and add structure to the course, they also provide a lot of fun for all involved!! Children are split into the Hawks, Eagles, Kestrels and Kadets and start at different times.
For children not yet old enough to join in with the junior club, Norfolk Ski have the Kindergarten club that also run every Saturday. A 45 minutes session introduces the young ones to the sport of skiing and teaches them the fundamental basics. It costs £5.50 per session and can be a great introductory lesson, especially if you are thinking of a skiing holiday.
Lessons - Norfolk offer a wide range of courses in both skiing and snowboarding. All lessons must be booked in advance. Just call the centre on 01603 662781
Ski taster sessions are for those aged 8 years and over. If you are interested in learning to ski but are not sure about booking a course of lessons then try a taster session first. This will give you a gentle introduction to the sport and may help you decide whether or not it is for you. £8 per person and lasts for about an hour.
Children's lessons are usually held on Saturday's and lessons are designed for those aged 5-11. Lessons are a starter four week course with a four week continuation course . The courses will include an introduction to skiing equipment and the basic techniques for climbing slopes, sliding and the control of sliding
Snowboard lessons are for those aged 12 and over with little or no boarding experience. The course will include an introduction to equipment, techniques for balancing, control of speed and turning. All Courses are staffed by qualified instructors. Cost for a total of 6 hours lessons is £60.00. Snowboard tasters (12yrs+) £10 for 1 hour.
Snowboard Improver Sessions are aimed at those who have finished beginner lessons.Every Thursday from 8.45pm to 9.45pm you can experience top tips from instructors to improve your riding and enable you progress to use all the slopes .Only £1 in addition to normal open practice rates.

Getting There - Leave the Southern By-Pass at the A146 exit, turn left and then turn right at the lights. Follow the ring road until you reach a round-about. Take the fourth exit signposted 'Trowse'. Follow the road for approximately ¼ mile then take a left turning signposted 'Ski Slope'. Norfolk Ski slope is just down
on the right.
