Crabs, lobsters and shrimps have been the masters of our seas since before the age of the dinosaurs. Discover how they have colonised the world's oceans - from rockpools to deep-sea trenches - and come face to face with some of the strangest species. The world's oceans may seem peaceful places but they're really battlefields where only the smartest and the strongest survive. Tropical waters are home to a variety of predators, including graceful black tip reef sharks, rays, moray eels and lionfish. The centrepiece of the aquarium is the spectacular coral reef housed within a giant ocean display. The reef is home to exotic species like angelfish, puffer fish, wrasse and hundreds of other brightly coloured species that populate this bustling undersea city. You can enjoy really close encounters from inside an amazing underwater walkthrough tunnel running through the centre of the reef. |  |
Blue Reef through all 3 of its centres are committed to sharing their enthusiasm and passion for the marine world and the inhabitants that live there. Blue Reef provide extensive information on conservation with many species becoming endangered and there are plenty of information boards detailing the work that Blue Reef undertake and support.
